Trae Young and the Trae Young Family Foundation spend the entire year finding different ways to give back to the community, but the flagship event has become the annual From the Point weekend, which began in Atlanta and in 2026 relocated with Trae to The District.
The three-day community outreach event, which also serves as Trae’s annual birthday celebration — a fact that says a lot about who Trae is and what matters to him most — was filled with events across D.C. this year.
Over the course of those three days, Trae visited Thurgood Marshall High School, Friendship Technology Prep and Monument Academy, to speak to students about and advocate for mental health awareness, sharing stories of perseverance and the ability to overcome adversity in challenging situations.
Trae also popped in for a visit at MedStar Georgetown Hospital to spend time with pediatric patients and their families, providing patients with signed jerseys during his visit.
The From the Point Youth Skills Clinic took over Prince George’s County Community College, where nearly 200 kids took part in an hours-long clinic put on by the Jr. Wizards. Trae didn’t sit on the sidelines. He joined drills and worked with several of the groups, giving them a once in a lifetime experience. Additionally, he took part in Pro-Am Day at Oxon Hill High School.
